THE Middle Fly Women’s Association has received its 3rd and 4th batch of loan funding from the National Development Bank (NDB) branch in Kiunga, Western Province in April, 2019.
In all 67 applications worth a total of PGK205,500 was dispersed to Middle Fly women applicants. Middle Fly Women’s Association President, Charlote Mathews, thanked the OTDF Business Development team and partners, NDB, for making it possible for the women of Middle Fly to access these loans. “As we continue to work together and provide the capacity for our women in the region and throughout the province, let’s build the business women who will contribute meaningfully to the development of the province,” she said. She also urged those with outstanding loans to pay up so that other women can have access to loan funding.
OTDF Business Development Officer, Dau Tapie said the funding was very timely. “The process took a while but I’d like to thank the NDB Kiunga branch manager, Mr Kenneth Gabi and staff, for their continuous support to the women’s program,” she added.
Program Services Manager, Mr Eric Kuman in his address, thanked the Middle Fly women for their patience, and challenged the respective women participantys to realize the potential this opportunity has brought them and to start making sound decisions about their future investments. “The only way you can fully grasp the full satisfaction of your investment is to sweat and earn that money through hard work,” he said. He further appealed to the applicants to be faithful in repaying their loans on time so that they can be able to apply for even more.
